We believe clothing should be made with the least impact on the environment and therefore mindfully craft each garment as sustainably as possible. Using organic, circular and recycled materials, designing for longevity and producing in small batches we aim to minimise our environmental footprint and use fashion as a platform to foster sustainable change.

Hemp

Hemp is at the base of our collection. We champion hemp because it's one of the most sustainable fabrics available. Hemp doesn’t need any pesticides or herbicides to grow. In contrast to other crops it doesn’t pollute our drinking water, land or air. Besides that, hemp is a regenerative crop. Its deep roots loosen the soil, it adds nutrients to soil and is able to absorb heavy metals and toxins from contaminated soils, leaving the earth healthier than before. Hemp is nature's purifier, it captures carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and acts as a carbon sink making it the perfect crop to mitigate the climate crisis. 

In addition to being a miracle plant for our planet, hemp also has amazing properties for the wearer. 

• Hemp is thermo-regulating due to its hollow fibres and therefore comfortable to use in all seasons. It cools during hot summer days and has a warming effect during winter.
• Hemp is breathable, hypo-allergenic and has anti-bacterial properties making it a perfect choice for sensitive skins. 
• Hemp is naturally UV-protective.
• Hemp is highly moisture absorbent - perspiration is quickly absorbed and released - making it less susceptible to odour.
• Hemp is one of the strongest natural fabrics and gets softer with each wash.
• Hemp is biodegradable and therefore an excellent choice as a circular resource.

Organic cotton is a durable natural fabric that is grown without the use of harmful pesticides or GMOs (genetically modified organisms) and supports the health of soils, ecosystems and people by using natural processes instead of artificial inputs.

Farmers and their families are not exposed to toxic chemicals in the field or through their food and water supply. And since the water and soil is healthy they’re able to combine it with rotational food crops such as oranges, tomatoes and more. 

Another major benefit of growing organic cotton is that organic cotton uses significantly less water than its non-organic counterpart. The majority of organic cotton crops are in fact rain-fed, which reduces pressure on local water resources.
